Our Story

A Life Without Limits

Andy was born in October 1997 in Fort Worth, Texas, with Down Syndrome and other health challenges. Despite a grim diagnosis from doctors, his parents, Bill and I (Carolyn), chose to raise him without limits or labels—just like his siblings. We believed he was meant to live a full life.

Through years of hospital visits and health battles, Andy’s spirit only grew stronger. He had a pure heart and a joyful presence that drew others to him. Music became an early outlet—we filled our home with guitars, drums, and keyboards to help him express the sound inside him.

In school, Andy was a force of connection. He wore dress shirts and ties to “dress for success” and made friends with everyone—from his special education classmates to the varsity football players and coaches.

The Birth of No Limits Art

After high school, I handed Andy a paintbrush and a small rocking chair from our garage. As a lifelong artist, I saw his creative spark and wanted to nurture it. With Bill teaching him to sand and me teaching him to paint, Andy’s art business was born.

He poured his heart into each piece—naming every chair, painting what he experienced in prayer, and sharing his inner world through color and creativity.

Andy’s older brother, Tony, a disabled veteran from the Iraq war, became a source of inspiration. To honor him and others like him, Andy began a patriotic art series that raised thousands of dollars for disabled veteran organizations. Giving back became a core part of his mission.

Today, Andy supports three local veteran organizations in Pagosa Springs and continues to use his art to inspire and give.

The Dream Becomes Reality

Andy has long dreamed of helping disabled children and veterans. That dream came true with the launch of No Limits Ranch—a place where healing, creativity, and community come together. It’s a dream our family shares.

Now living in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, we are building both No Limits Ranch and No Limits Art—a creative partnership between Andy and me. No Limits Art operates as an LLC, and we’re working toward completing the 501(c)(3) nonprofit for the Ranch by the end of 2025.

Every item sold through No Limits Art helps fund scholarships for kids and families to attend the Ranch and continues to support veteran causes close to Andy’s heart.

Andy’s older brother Tony, being a disabled veteran from the Iraqi war was much loved by Andy and began to do patriot series work to honor his brother and other disabled veterans to give back to them.

Thousands of dollars were earned by Andy with the help of other artists who came in so generously and full of love to help Andy move forward in his business. Andy has had a dream to help disabled kids and disabled veterans and now this dream has become a reality with the establishment of the very first No Limits Ranch.

Thank you for being a part of helping Andy’s dream manifest with the funding of this beautiful opportunity to bring healing to our families in beautiful Pagosa Springs, Colorado at the breathtaking Elk Trace Ranch!!

Our family’s dream is to own our own property in Pagosa Springs, CO one day and build a lodge and family cabins that would be rented out to vacationers.  The income from the Air BnB would then be used for our special families that come in for exclusive retreats at no cost to them. We would also have a retail shop for Andy’s and Carolyn’s artwork, Bill‘s custom-made tables, and other “No Limits” and “Sacrifice” gear and accessories.
